The Counselling and Wellness Centre at MDABC exists to inspire and support people who wish to cultivate a calm mind, a resilient spirit, and a renewed sense of wellbeing. No matter what is troubling you, our compassionate, highly-trained counselors and educators are here to work with you to find solutions and bring meaningful change to your own life. Our counsellors embrace the Bio-Psycho-Social-Spiritual modality approach for therapy. Please note that you do not need to have a diagnosis of a mood disorder or other mental illness to access our counselling services.
The Counselling and Wellness Centre at MDABC is currently accepting new clients; no doctor’s referral is needed.
During this time of Covid-19 and physical distancing, MDABC is pleased to offer continued Registered Counselling services via ON-LINE or PHONE sessions. About Our Counselling Services:
The Counselling and Wellness Centre at MDABC welcomes new clients of any age; no doctor’s referral is needed. Click the “Make an Appointment” button below to fill out our on-line intake form. Once we review the form, our friendly booking staff will call you (or your guardian if you are a minor) to make an appointment.
All of our certified therapists have a minimum of a Master’s degree in their chosen field and are current members of a Professional Association. Our counsellors use many different types of therapies; they have training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Process-oriented therapy, Solution Focused therapy (SFT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Positive Psychology and Mindfulness-based approaches. If you have a preference for a certain counsellor or a certain therapy, please indicate that on your intake form.
